“This season is all about freedom of expression and the importance of exploring creativity. And so, for the campaign, I wanted to start from these values and tell the collection from two different creative perspectives. I collaborated with the incredible Katy England on styling the campaign to create a beautiful and powerful fluidity through the juxtaposition of these two images, and I am so excited to have also worked with Mert, Marcus and Chris Rhodes that they made them concrete. through their points of view. ” Riccardo Tisci, Creative Director
Burberry unveils the Fall / Winter 2021 campaign, which brings together contrasting perspectives in a celebration of the exploration of fluidity and the power of individuality.
Playing on the concept of duality, the campaign compares the classic and raw images of photographers Mert and Marcus with the bold and spontaneous shots of Chris Rhodes, captured instead in the backstage of the Fall / Winter 2021 presentations.
The collections themselves are transformed through these opposing lenses, encouraging different points of view and freedom of expression. Riccardo Tisci’s Fall / Winter 2021 Burberry collections explore the themes of modern femininity and masculinity, rewriting the narrative with a sense of audacity and new opportunities.
Paying homage to Mother Nature’s indomitable force, craft tradition and vast 20th century British open spaces, the collections are inspired by those who have boldly ventured into nature, breaking convention through their journeys towards building a better future.
