Designed in collaboration with famed architect Vincenzo De Cotiis, No.1 Sloane Street distorts classicism as the rules are twisted, juxtaposing raw elements with luxurious materials to create a decidedly modern vibe. The store has displays and plinths built in a variety of materials, from concrete, to ceramic and to glossy finishes. The main colors of the Burberry check – beige, black, white and red – are also explored and developed throughout the store, while the same iconic motif is reinterpreted in the mirrored areas of the grid ceiling, creating a sense of openness by reflecting the movement of the floors. with checkerboard tiles.

“Our new flagship store at 1 Sloane Street is a representation of everything Burberry is: authentic, bold, elevated, with creativity at its core. An iconic destination in the heart of Knightsbridge, London, the first featuring the new global store concept, which offers a typically British luxury environment for local and international customers who want to explore the brand and our products. We are thrilled to welcome our customers in this new home that encompasses our past, present and future ”. Marco Gobbetti, Burberry CEO

“This is the story of a house, the new Burberry house. An open and welcoming place, full of details. A familiar and at the same time experiential environment, in which you can feel an integral part of tradition. A dynamic and versatile space: trust and determination resonate strongly with the sense of history, mixing at the same time in the contradictions of contemporaneity. We wanted to create a domestic envelope, a house where art, culture and people move through an intelligent and elegant modernity. The place as a portrait “. Vincenzo De Cotiis, Architect

Located in the heart of London, within the burgeoning district of Knightsbridge, the new Burberry store celebrates the iconic postcode SW1, a destination with which the brand has strong historical ties. Founder Thomas Burberry opened his first London store in the SW1 area, which, 130 years later, remains the location of the brand’s global headquarters. No.1 Sloane Street offers the opportunity to fully experience the British brand in a unique space that connects Burberry’s past, present and future. Burberry will open three more flagships with its new design concept in the next 12 months: in Plaza 66 in Shanghai, in Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris and in Bond Street, also in London.
