The Maison Piaget, which has always strongly believed in the creative minds and artistic values that distinguish the collaborations born over time with various internationally renowned artists, is pleased to communicate the support as cultural partner at the first exhibition in Italy of the British photographer Rankin “From Portraiture to Fashion” at the 29 Arts in Progress Gallery in Milan on October 17th.

The famous British photographer presents for the first time in Italy, at the 29 ARTS IN PROGRESS gallery in Milan, a personal exhibition continuous transformation. In the space of four months the public will be able to witness the evolution of an exhibition project designed specifically for the occasion.

The only one of its kind – three years after the Outside In presentation during the 2016 Milan Fashion Week -, the Rankin: From Portraiture to Fashion show is one of the most ambitious and complex projects ever conceived in collaboration with a gallery.
Rankin: From Portraiture to Fashion wants to be a real tour of the photographer’s archive with the aim of giving visibility not only to his most iconic works, but also to more conceptual works, thus presenting the artist’s contemporaneity to a new generation of collectors. The exhibition proposal, revealing itself completely over four months, includes changes of works and entire set-ups in order to celebrate some of the distinctive events on the Milanese calendar such as the Vogue Photo Festival, the Fashion Film Festival (both in November) and Milan February Fashion Week, thus creating an original opportunity for dialogue between the author and the cultural proposals of one of the capitals of design and fashion in Europe.
I am not a person who runs away from challenges, so this is a great opportunity for me on countless fronts: to show some of my best works, participate in interesting events and really become part of the cultural fabric of this city.” – RANKIN
