For the spring-summer 2024 collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Peter Philips, creative and image director for Dior Makeup, created a look that highlighted the complexion and lips: ”a luminous translucent complexion created a contrast with intense lips that were darkened in the center, at the top as well as at the bottom, to give a very witch-like ´bitten lip´ effect.”
Lips
”The lips, which are the focal point of this look, were given a ’bitten’ effect by emphasizing the deep colour applied where the upper and lower lips meet. Then blended outwards from the centre until i reached the natural shade of the lips at the outer edges. For the show, i created this intense ’witchy’ lip with the diorshow on stage crayon 099 black, but the look can be recreated at home with the dior contour 943 euphoric or 959 charnelle. Then, i used rouge Dior forever, and chose from shade numbers 111 forever night, 500 nude soul, 626 forever famous, 720 forever icone, 825 forever unapologetic or 999 forever dior.”
Complexion
Peter Philips details ”a soft and luminous complexion, prepared with Dior capture totale le sérum. I then applied dior forever glow veil as a unifying base followed by Dior forever skin glow foundation. I corrected where necessary with a few touches of Dior forever skin correct. I finished by using Dior forever skin cushion for touch-ups.”
Eyes
Peter philips explains: ”the eyes were subtly emphasized by structuring the eyebrows with the Diorshow brow styler and Diorshow on set brow for a natural effect.”
