Miu Miu presents Antoneta Alamat Kusijanovic, winner of the Camera d’Or at Cannes, as the new director of “STANE”, the 26th installment of the Miu Miu Women’s Tales film series. The film will premiere in Venice Days at the Venice Film Festival on September 3, 2023.
Antoneta Alamat Kusijanović (born 1985) is a Croatian writer, director and film producer born in Dubrovnik and living in New York. His first feature film as a director entitled Murina, produced by Martin Scorsese, premiered at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival in the Directors Fortnight section, winning the Caméra d’Or Award. Subsequently, garnering critical acclaim, it was acclaimed best film of 2022. Murina was also nominated in three categories for the Film Independent Spirit Awards, including Best Debut, Best Emerging Actor and Best Cinematography. Her short film Into the Blue was premiered at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival.
