Taste of summer in Provence

Prepare to be taken on an unforgettable gastronomic journey.

Welcome to Provence, one of the most charming and picturesque regions of France! During your summer holidays in this wonderful land, we invite you to discover the delicious local cuisine at three restaurants that will leave you speechless. The flavors of Provence are a riot of freshness and tradition, accompanied by a unique and suggestive atmosphere. Prepare to be taken on an unforgettable gastronomic journey.

Generous, fresh and fragrant Mediterranean cuisine made for sharing. Normandy-born chef Nicolas Cantrel has bewitched the clientele with his Riviera-inspired cuisine, which features carefully sourced meat, the local catch of the day and an array of top-notch produce.

Thanks to the wood-fired barbecue, beautiful pieces of meat and grilled fish of the day’s catch are in the spotlight, accompanied by fresh vegetables flavored with local aromatic herbs, some of which come from the kitchen garden of the hotel.

An ideal stopover before moving on to the hectic Saint-Tropez nightlife. At the end of the day, the atmosphere turns more festive, with music and champagne to savor the gentle mood of the moment, feet in the sand, head in the stars, eyes gazing across countless shades of blue…  www.lareserve-plage.com

A restaurant between HEAVEN & EARTH

At the foot of the mountains overlooking the sea, a stone’s throw from Italian border post, the 1930s-era rotunda building housing the Mirazur enjoys an idyllic setting. It spreads over three levels on the hillside, surrounded by lush vegetation. The elegant, spacious and light-drenched dining room commands a panoramic view of the sky, the sea and the town of Menton through the large windows running all the way around.

On the lower floor, the bar with a view of the glassed-in kitchen where the brigade is at work extends into a small terrace. Down a few steps, the orchard garden full of fragrant herbs and citrus, with all of its gardens, is a precious source of inspiration for Mauro Colagreco when dreaming up his dishes.

Respectful of Nature, light and frank, Mauro’s cuisine expresses itself freely.

“Promoting meaningful gastronomy in the heart of our land is the challenge we try to take up every day. You will therefore be able to savour the essence of the produce we grow in our two hectares of permaculture vegetable gardens, but also the fruits of wild picking, fishing and local breeding. We also aim for zero waste, which allows us to return to the land what we have borrowed from it.”

Luxury and tradition with not a hint of ostentation. Sun – drenched French cuisine to relish around the coffee tables of the superb salons or next to the plane trees on the pretty terrace.

A quiet atmosphere, beautiful grounds and wonderful flavours can be found at Villa Gallici Restaurant. Part of the 5 star Villa Gallici hotel you can indulge in lunch or dinner at this top quality restaurant.

Run by chef Christophe Gavot your taste buds will be delighted with the fresh provencal style of cooking and the balance between tradition and modern.    www.villagallici.com
