CHANEL reopened the doors of its renovated and expanded boutique next to the Piazza San Marco, in the historic heart of Venice, Italy. This spacious new environment features the latest CHANEL creations by Artistic Director Virginie Viard across Ready-to-Wear, bags, shoes and accessories.

The redesign of the boutique is envisaged by the New York-based architect and long-time CHANEL collaborator, Peter Marino, who continues to reinterpret the timeless and elegant codes of the House.

The boutique is luminous with natural light, and the interior design evokes the graphic house palette of black and white, which is employed to modern, minimalist effect to allow the product to feature in the centre frame. Set on a corner, with generous street-front windows, guests can also enter from the street a fragrance and beauty dedicated boutique.

Upstairs, a series of three elegant salons flow into one another, to create an intimate and welcoming environment in which to discover the world of CHANEL accessories, with a selection of classic and new season handbags on display, shoes, and Ready-to-Wear as it arrives in boutique. Awash in a neutral palette of beige and punctuated with accents of black, the salons are custom furnished with inviting sofas and artworks hand-selected to enhance the character of the boutique. The curation pays homage to the rich artistic legacy of the city: in the Ready-to-Wear salon is a polished bronze sculpture by Antoine Poncet and a bronze box with carvings by Peter Marino that serves as a table. The elevator and cash desk are animated by two black and white original silver gelatine prints by the photographer Vera Lutter and, in the fitting rooms, hangs a cinematic canvas of a Venetian ballroom by the Italian painter Dario Serra.

CHANEL looks forward to welcoming guests into this redesigned and newly expanded boutique in Venice, Italy, where they can discover the latest from the world of CHANEL.
