In 2002, Louis Vuitton unveiled the Tambour watch for the first time, an instantly recognizable drum-shaped case with a bold and stunning vision of the interpretation of time. After 21 years, the Tambour evolves and sports a new image with a slimmer case, characterized by exceptionally elegant finishes, sculptural and flowing lines.

“After twenty years of bold watch design based on the famous case, guided by the same pursuit of modernity, refinement and functionality, hallmarks of the Maison for over 160 years, Louis Vuitton achieves an unprecedented level of savoir-faire on every single element of the new watch,” says Jean Arnault, Director of Watches.

Two steel versions are the starting point for the presentation of the new Tambour. A tone-on-tone model with a silver-grey dial or with a contrasting deep blue dial are the first variations for the presentation of the renewed collection of the Maison, a Tambour enriched by two further novelties for Louis Vuitton, an integrated bracelet and an exclusive automatic movement of new invoice designed by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton.

“We want to inaugurate a new chapter in the history of watchmaking of the Maison, creating a timepiece with extraordinary technical characteristics, which maintains an identifiable Louis Vuitton style”, underlines Jean Arnault, Director of Watches.
