Made Thought and Argentine Animation Studio, 2Veinte produced a short film embodying the spirit of the Miami Design District by evolving their visual style into dynamic world.
Capturing the futuristic version of the neighborhood, it has been created a storyline where the hero goes on a journey of discovery and transformation in a place BEYOND BELIEF.
The story begins in a pineapple farm – symbolizing what the neighborhood used to be a century ago – whereby a female avatar serves as a conduit to experience a world of creativity and inspiration. The hand-drawn illustrations were modeled after iconic landmarks in the neighborhood, including Buckminster Fuller’s Fly’s Eye Dome and several of the MDD’s iconic public art projects. The film represents the unique way luxury is woven into a landscape of cultural energy and tropical greenery.
A central inspiration for the female character was Julia DeForest Tuttle – the American businesswoman dubbed “Mother of Miami” as the only female to have founded what would become a major American city.
The campaign’s name captures the awe-inspiring evolution of the neighborhood over a century – starting with the iconic Moore Building built in 1921 as a furniture showroom – and further evokes Robin’s futuristic vision of the MDD another 100 years later.
