JACQUEMUS introduce their first objects collection. This launch is also celebrating the introduction of the collaboration with Exteta, in honor of Gae Aulenti designs. The collection combines JACQUEMUS’ playful approach in interior design through homewear objects and designs.

JACQUEMUS and Exteta partnered to launch a special re-edition of Gae Aulenti’s renowned collection Locus Solus, in a tactile rediscovery of the same. The series hails from Gae Aulenti’s 1960s pop production and combines strong lines with vintage charm, enhancing harmony and versatility in space. Gaetana Emilia Aulenti, commonly known as Gae Aulenti, has been a trailblazing Italian designer, paving the way for international design innovations. She is now remembered for her large-scale pro- jects and the layout in places such as Gare d’Orsay in Paris and Palazzo Grassi in Venice, not to mention the countless awards received.

Design, architecture and arts have always been a source of inspiration for Simon Porte Jacquemus. With this collaboration, JACQUEMUS is exploring a broader interior design capsule collection.

“This collaboration with Exteta came naturally and spontaneously. I have always dreamed of developing a furniture line… I’m a great fan of designer chairs and I have collected Gae Aulenti vintage chairs for many years, ever since I saw them in the movie “La Piscine” by Jacques Deray. I wanted to add a JACQUEMUS touch to the chair, with a yellow striped fabric inspired by 80’s beach mattresses and umbrellas.” Simon Porte Jacquemus

The collaboration features four different pieces, including the “Locus Solus” chair in an off white structure and a yellow striped fabric version. It also features the “Locus Solus” armchair with the yellow striped fabric, and the “Locus Solus” sun lounger also in white and yellow striped fabric.

A hymn to the Italian art of slow living, Exteta prides itself in crafting beautiful and inventive designs with an emphasis on the highest standards of craftsmanship. The brand, founded in the greenery of Brianza on the outskirts of Milan, is an ensemble of unique know-how and innovation, striving for fluid indoor and outdoor designs tailored to contempo- rary living.

The collaboration launches on April 17th 2023 exclusively on jacquemus.com and in-store at Jacquemus’s Avenue Montaigne boutique in limited quantities.

The capsule «Objets» is the continuation of «Le Raphia» collection, through the design and art goods lens.

The capsule revolves around simple and minimal goods, including vases, plates and trays all in soft leather and earth tones. Following this idea of reinterpreting home interior objects, the capsule also includes hair pins and keyrings in playful, sensuous and minimal shapes. For the first time, Simon exclusively curated a selection of photographs and books from his favorite artists which ins- pired him during the design of «Le Raphia» collection. The curation comprises a selection of rare vintage books from David Hockney, Tarsila Do Amaral, René Burri, Luis Barragán, Claude Nori, Pablo Picasso and many other artists. Simon also curated an exclusive selection of photographs from Lucien Clergue, including the very rare photography of Pablo Picasso at the Frejus Corrida in 1962.
