Designed by the Louis Vuitton Visual Image Studio and built by LEGO® Certified Professionals, the colored and three-dimensional shop windows are part of the creative exchange started with the Louis 200 Trunks project, in which the LEGO® Group, one of the Visionaries called to celebrate the 200th anniversary of its birth of founder Louis Vuitton, contributed a giant birthday cake made from 31,700 bricks.
For this occasion, which also coincides with the 90th anniversary of the LEGO® Group, the collaboration will have a global reach and will involve shop windows around the world with unique creations: snow-covered Christmas trees with sets covered with bricks in lively arrangements of the Damier motif, meticulous reproductions of the iconic trunk entirely covered with LEGO® tiles, and detailed replicas of the Arc de Triomphe and the Pont Neuf that evoke the dream of Paris during the winter holidays.
Until January 1, 2023, iconic LEGO® bricks will be used to build sets that celebrate imagination and creativity.
In Milan, in the courtyard of the shop in via Montenapoleone and inside the store in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, stands a magnificent and imposing Eiffel Tower made with stacked trunks that draws inspiration from the famous photo by Jacques Henri Lartigue, showing the unlimited possibilities of the LEGO game ®.
In addition to being an imaginative interpretation of the Louis Vuitton universe, the collaboration with LEGO® Certified Professionals enhances the Maison’s passion for handmade creations. From a single brick up to millions, the tradition of both brands finds joyful expression thanks to their collaboration. Once disassembled, the bricks will be reused through local collaborations so that school children can be inspired to build and learn through play.
