Mdingi’s guiding ethos is that “the power of the collective is far stronger and better than the singular,” and it’s this that drives his spirit and that of his brand.
His textiles are traditionally sourced yet applied in an avant-garde manner. For him, South African fashion is driven by perseverance and creativity. He is famous for combining contrasting materials and textures in innovative silhouettes.
