JW Anderson | the SS22 in Juergen Teller’s shots
JW Anderson presents the Women’s Spring Summer 2022 collection in the form of a calendar made by Juergen Teller. The 2022 calendar includes 26 shots with a mix of women’s ready-to-wear images alternating with images of the photographer himself.
The shooting was made in a London tire shop. The tires were then transported from the location to Juergen’s studio for his self-portraits.
The Spring Summer 2022 collection is JW Anderson’s sixth presentation in print form (aka a show in a box) and the fourth season in a row with Teller.
Jonathan Anderson’s latest collection for his eponymous brand is an uncompromising exploration of textures, materials and volume combinations. Art deco-inspired handcrafted motifs adorn ethereal and delicate silhouettes. The decorations are made of metallic materials and used as accessories, straps and resin rings. The idea of extreme combinations is expressed in dresses in shiny pink patent leather contrasted with dresses in light nappa; structured and floating skirts with fitted tops; voluminous pants in Japanese denim combined with garments made entirely of crinoline.
The JW Anderson Twister bag is revisited in a new mini version in pop colors. The collection also introduces the JW Anderson Bumper bag in three different shapes (half moon, baguette and hobo), all with the detail of the rounded seam in contrasting colors. The same detail is also taken up in the Bumper Heel Sandal and in the Bumper Mule.
