From 9 September to 23 January, the Prada Foundation presents the “Sturm & Drang” exhibition project at the Observatory, born from the collaboration between the Foundation and gta exhibitions, ETH Zurich.
Curated by Luigi Alberto Cippini, Fredi Fischli and Niels Olsen, “Sturm & Drang” explores the applications, experiences and environments related to Computer-generated imagery (CGI) with the aim of unveiling the complexity of computer modeling and analyzing the current production of images and their impact on our daily perception.
The exhibition investigates the phases and production methods that hide behind this powerful economy of the image. The exhibition path of “Sturm & Drang” brings together four environments – citations of real or imaginary spaces – that host the “making of” of CGI programming in contexts such as video games, science fiction and hi-tech engineering.
