Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director of the Women’s Collections, designed the precious jacquard motif that encloses the date 1854, the year of foundation of Louis Vuitton. 1854, a timeless symbol of a family guided by sublime craftsmanship. The canvas conveys the delicate feeling of ancient memories, such as when Georges Louis Vuitton designed the Monogram canvas in homage to his father, creating a neo-Gothic coat of arms inspired, in part, by the décor of their family home in Asnières. The 8 transforms into a petal of the Monogram flower, becoming an integral part of the canvas motif. The timeless Monogram unleashes the spirit of the Maison through iconic models such as the Dauphine bag, the Neverfull and the Petit Noé. The pattern also decorates a wardrobe of essentials and accessories to celebrate the “Since 1854” collection.

The “Since 1854” collection will be available in preview from 18 September in the Louis Vuitton store in Galleria V. Emanuele II in Milan and from 25 September in all other stores and on the louisvuitton.com website
