Dondup adds a new stage to the Detox route inaugurated at the end of 2018. After the analysis of low environmental impact denim with the D / Zero project, carried out in tandem with the Candiani group, the fashion house teams up with Carvico to develop the new 3D Stretch Couture collection.
The project, entirely Made in Italy, consists of a selection of garments made with a recycled Nylon fiber coming from the recovery of the so-called phantom nets, ie the fishing nets forgotten in the seabed. It is estimated, in fact, that every year there are 640 thousand tons of fishing nets abandoned in the oceans. An enormous amount of material that, thanks to research and the most advanced recovery technologies, can be available again for respectful productions.
«Dondup has embarked on a clear path in respect of the Planet», explained the Chairman, Matteo Marzotto, «a concrete commitment that step by step is changing the company’s planning, which looks at initiatives consistent with our vision of responsibility. With this capsule collection we enter the territory of ready-to-wear with a wardrobe able to combine the authentic Dondup spirit with innovation in a circularity perspective “.
3D Stretch Couture combines the performance of breathability, comfort and no-iron of the technical fabric with a vision of contemporary ready-to-wear. The trousers with a sartorial fit, the passe-partout jacket, the dress with rouche, icons of the Dondup style, reinvent themselves through the elasticity of an urban fabric, also designed for travel. The tops, the dress with the flounce and the mini with the bow become distinctive objects in the bright primary tones of fuchsia, purple, red, lime, and blue china.
3D Stretch Couture will be distributed worldwide”, stressed the CEO, Matteo Anchisi, “our customers will be able to order it from today in boutiques with delivery according to the canons of the SS20. As for D / Zero, we are evaluating special initiatives for 3D Stretch Couture to be organized in a selection of sales points, in conjunction with the presentation of the project to the final public »
