LVMH, with the Arnault family, have announced a “donation” of 200 million euros to the fund dedicated to the reconstruction of the cathedral: “The Arnault family and the LVMH group would like to show their solidarity in this moment of national tragedy and join in the reconstruction of this extraordinary cathedral, which is a symbol of France, of its heritage and its unity “, reads a note. Arnault’s commitment follows a similar donation of 100 million euros for Notre Dame announced earlier by the family of François-Henri Pinault, at the Kering summit. Pinault, Artemis: “This tragedy affects all the French and far beyond those who are bound by spiritual values. Faced with such a tragedy, everyone wants to revive this jewel of our heritage as soon as possible “, explained the president of the family holding company. The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, called for the organization of a “major international donors conference” with “patrons from around the world to raise funds for the restoration”.
