Waiting for the official opening scheduled for next June 10, Club Med unveils its new Cefalù resort in world premiere. Originally founded in 1957, Club Med Cefalù reopens with the intent to amaze: it is in fact the first Exclusive Collection Resort in the Mediterranean, completely new in its structures, elegant and accurate in every detail.

Club Med President, Henri Giscard d’Estaing, with Sylvain Rabuel (Club Med’s CEO France, Europe and Africa), Arnaldo Aiolfi (Club Med’s Chief of Project and CEO), Eyal Amzallag, (Club’s Managing Director of Italy) Med) and in the presence of the most important local authorities – including Rosario Lapunzina (Mayor of Cefalù), Gaetano Armao (Vice President of the Sicilian Region and Councilor of the Economy), Gianfranco Micciché (President of the Sicilian Regional Assembly), Sandro Pappalardo ( Regional Councilor for Tourism) and Monsignor Giuseppe Marciante (Bishop of Cefalù) – officially presented the resort.

Club Med Cefalù stands on a promontory with a splendid view of the bay. The elegant architecture created by the King Roselli studio integrates the new structures with the conservative recovery of the historic buildings (the Church and the Palace) enhancing the chic atmosphere of the resort, and refined interiors are due to the creative inspiration of Sophie Jacqmin.

The rooms are three types (Deluxe, Suite and Superior Villa) and most of them with sea view. Among the points of attraction within the resort: the main pool, the beach club, the zen natural pool, the fitness area and the Carita spa, with its cutting-edge treatments.

The culinary offer is very rich and cared for: La Rocca, the main restaurant of the resort, offers Italian and international cuisine; Riva Beach Restaurant & Il Covo Bar, on the beach, are the ideal setting for grill and show cooking; Azzurro Bar, at the center of the resort, is the meeting point for a relaxing drink; Eden Bar, aboard the Zen pool, offers smoothies, fresh fruit and vegetable juices and finally Palazzo Gourmet Lounge, the realm of gourmets where you can taste the menu signed by the starred chef Andrea Berton.

Durante la cerimonia, il Sindaco di Cefalù ha conferito la cittadinanza onoraria al Presidente Giscard d’Estaing, seguito successivamente da un breve discorso di Monsignor Marciante, Vescovo di Cefalù.

Le camere, di tre tipologie (Villetta Deluxe, Suite e Superior) sono 304, la maggior parte con vista mare. Tra i punti di attrazione all’interno del resort: la main pool, il beach club, la zen natural pool, l’area fitness e la spa Carita, con i suoi trattamenti all’avanguardia.

L’offerta culinaria è molto ricca e curata: La Rocca, il ristorante principale del resort, propone piatti della cucina italiana e internazionale; Riva Beach Restaurant & Il Covo Bar, sulla spiaggia, sono la cornice ideale per grill e show cooking; Azzurro Bar, al centro del resort, è il ritrovo per un drink in relax; Eden Bar, a bordo della piscina zen, propone frullati, centrifughe di frutta e verdura fresche ed infine Palazzo Gourmet Lounge, il regno dei buongustai dove si può degustare il menù firmato dallo chef stellato Andrea Berton.
