Anicka Yi is the winner of Hugo Boss Prize 2016

New York / Metzingen, October 20, 2016. Mark Langer, President and CEO of HUGO BOSS AG, and Richard Armstrong, Director of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation, have appointed the Korean artist Anicka Yi winner of the ‘HUGO BOSS PRIZE 2016 . Anicka Yi is the eleventh artist who won the biennial award, established in 1996, whose purpose is to recognize a significant development in contemporary art, and which this year celebrates its twentieth anniversary.

“The HUGO BOSS PRIZE marks the high point of our partnership with the Guggenheim Museum and we are very proud that for twenty years represents the essence of our artistic program,” said Mark Langer, President and CEO of HUGO BOSS AG. “We want to congratulate the winners and express our gratitude to the jury and the Guggenheim Museum for their dedication and support.”

The prize includes the allocation of 100,000 dollars and is administered by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. Anicka Yi exhibit his work in a solo exhibition at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York in April 2017.

Guggenheim Museum and Foundation, hanno nominato l’artista coreana Anicka Yi vincitrice dell’ HUGO BOSS PRIZE 2016. Anicka Yi è l’undicesima artista che si aggiudica il premio biennale, istituito nel 1996, il cui scopo è riconoscere uno sviluppo significativo nell’arte contemporanea e che quest’anno festeggia il ventesimo anniversario.

“L’HUGO BOSS PRIZE segna il momento più alto della nostra partnership con il Guggenheim Museum e siamo molto fieri del fatto che rappresenti da vent’anni l’essenza del nostro programma artistico”, ha detto Mark Langer,  Presidente e CEO di HUGO BOSS AG. “Vogliamo congratularci con la vincitrice ed esprimere la nostra gratitudine alla giuria e al Guggenheim Museum per la loro dedizione e supporto”.

Il premio comprende l’assegnazione di 100,000 Dollari ed è amministrato dalla Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. Anicka Yi esporrà le sue opera in una mostra personale al Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum di New York nell’aprile 2017.
