“Robert Mitchum una volta mi ha detto “appena arrivi in una nuova città, fai sempre amicizia con una bionda”. Quando sono arrivato a Chicago, ho trovato quella bionda in te, Donatella. Volevo visitare questa città insieme a te, per conoscere la sua storia e sentire l’amore e l’armonia della sua musica.
Chicago sta attraversando un periodo difficile e ha bisogno di un poco di incoraggiamento – come ne abbiamo bisogno tutti noi una volta ogni tanto. La gentilezza delle sue persone mi ha aiutato a creare queste fotografie e ora posso dire che “Chicago is my beat”. Bruce Weber

Dietro la macchina da presa uno dei fotografi più iconici del mondo e davanti l’obbiettivo Gigi Hadid e Karlie Kloss per raccontare una Chicago viva che si muove al ritmo della danza, un bianco e nero calligrafico.
“The actor Robert Mitchum once told me, “when you first get to a new town, always make friends with a Blonde”. Well, when I got to Chicago, I found my blonde in you, Donatella. I wanted us to visit this city together because of its rich history and the spirit of love and harmony you feel in its music. Chicago is going through a tough time at the moment and could use a little encouragement – just like we all need ever once in a while. Because the kindness of its people helped me to make this photographs, I feel like I can now call Chicago “my beat”. Bruce Weber
