Saint Laurent, What’s Next?    

L’attesa è tanta, tutti sono col fiato sospeso per vedere quale direzione prenderà Saint Laurent sotto la guida del suo nuovo direttore creativo Anthony Vaccarello. È di pochi giorni fa la notizia che la linea uomo non sfilerà nel prossimo calendario, Saint Laurent (era Hedi Slimane) era già da un po’ che aveva inserito nella sfilata donna dei look maschili e viceversa avendo di fatto unificato il mondo Saint Laurent in sfilate quasi genderless.

Dovremo quindi attendere le prossime sfilate donna per sapere che “stile” avrà il nuovo volto della Maison, cosa aspettarsi allora?

Un cambio di direzione o una creatività che riprenderà dove ha lasciato Slimane? Pochi gli indizi, anche i social non ci aiutano, e in qualche modo aumentano il mistero…in seguito al cambio di direzione creativa, l’account instagram di Saint Laurent ha cancellato tutti i post fino ad allora inseriti e ha lasciato solo un ritratto di Anthony Vaccarello, stessa sorte per l’account Facebook del marchi che ha premuto il tasto “pausa” il giorno del cambio al vertice.

Noi propendiamo non di certo per un cambio totale del mood SL degli ultimi tempi, del resto Vaccarello (precedentemente alla guida di Versus) ha un imprinting rock che di sicuro non scontenterà il pubblico che ha imparato ad amare Saint Laurent negli ultimi anni.

The waiting is building up, everyone’s holding their breath and are wondering which direction Saint Laurent will take with Anthony Vaccarello as creative director. The men collection won’t be at the next menswear fashion week, it’s not a big surprise since the Maison already has shown women looks inside men fashion shows and has done the opposite too, thus making the SL shows genderless.

We’ll have to wait till the next womenswear fashion shows to see which face will have the new Saint Laurent, what to expect then?

A change of direction or a creativity that will resume where he left Slimane ? Few are the clues , even the company did not help us but somehow increase the mystery … following the change of creative direction , the Saint Laurent instagram account has deleted all the post until then and left only a portrait of Anthony Vaccarello , the same fate for the Facebook account that has pressed the ” pause button” on the day of the change at the top of Saint Laurent.

We lean certainly not for a total change of SL mood of recent times , since Vaccarello (formerly creative mind at Versus) has a rock imprinting that certainly won’t  dissatisfy the public that has come to love Saint Laurent in recent years.
