When and how you decided that you wanted to be a designer?

I always wanted to be one, i grew up always with my grand mother who where a model maker ( or modelist , i don’t know how to say in english) so i was always with fabrics and sewing maching…

It was your dream job?

Yes it is ! i a really happy !

Which is the first thing you designed and for who (yourself,a friend…)?

I think the first that i stitched was for my dolls , but then the first thing that i designed was for me.

Who’s the designer you admire the most and why?

I admire Dries Van Noten for is textile work, his combination of color, his collection are always amazing, using translation but always with a visual really modern, i also admire Raf Simons, a bit for the aspect but also for the story and the way he construct a collection.

Who’s your muse, your icon, when you create a dress?

I don’t have a special muse but i always keep in mind the idea of a women fragile but also really strong in a way and that has an certain nonchalance that i like with a really confortable and relax attitude.

If you had to design an entire collection using just one color, which is the one you’d pick and why?

I am really moody with color , i can chose on today and if you ask my 1 week later i will chose an other one. I really like working with color and mixing them, i never use black. Even if it is really dark it is a dark blue or a dark green. Today if i had to design with one color i think it will be nude, the aspect can really change depending to who is wearing it and there is so many declinaison of nude…

Who’s the first person you show your sketches to?

My friends or people i used to work with…

The fabric you love the most…silk, lace, velvet and why?

I love leather and really light silk. I love using both in the same garment, mixing fragility and some more raw fabrics.

If your clothes had a soundtrack, which songs you’d choose?

I am also really moody with music but for now i think the music that feet the most is the one that i choose for my show at the Hyères festival: Warm leatherette from the normal.

Do you have any trick to avoid that “blank page” moment when you’re at the beginning of the designing of a new collection? Do you watch a movie, flip an old magazine…

I look a lot at photographies and i watch a lot of movie. I make also a lot of try out, i think it is important to not be scarde and to just try thing and the it construct it self with time…

If you weren’t a designer which job in the fashion world you would like to do and why?

Maybe a photographer , I have always love this part of the fashion project , you can tell an other stories and play with clothes….
