L’Agent by Agent Provocateur Swimwear SS 2016

When the sun hits the boardwalks and the temperatures begin to rise, the only gang anyone will want to be in is the one decked out in the eye-popping new swimwear from L’Agent by Agent Provocateur.

For the Holiday 2015 season, the collaboration between L’Agent and Penelope and Monica Cruz sees the launch of its first dedicated swimwear collection, with enough skimpy and scintillating pieces to get hearts racing from Mykonos to Malibu.

Venice Beach in the 1970’s: the skater capital of the world, a hotbed of youthful exuberance, honeyed limbs and long blonde locks left to stream in the warm breeze.

The cool chicks on wheels are this season’s inspiration for sassy pieces such as the Agata, A.K.A the most flattering bandeau bikini you’ll ever wear, constructed to lift and pop in a salacious watermelon pink or classic black. Pull on the swimsuit with a pair of hotpants to rule the boardwalk – clever cut-outs will maximise any proportions.

Young hearts who prefer an itsy bitsy teeny weeny statement will love the Eleena with its ultra skimpy cut and adjustable straps, whilst those with Bond Girl aspirations will plump for the Adrina, with its 70’s halter style that lifts and flatters the cleavage, and a super high-cut leg to give a long and lean silhouette.

All the l’Agent swimwear comes in separate sizes to tailor to any shape, with clever constructions to make the most of all body types.

Fast cars and faster women, swaying palms and tangerine sunset dreams; Miami sets the scene for the second phase of l’Agent swimwear.

Nothing sets off a deep tan like a tropical print, and L’Agent’s Wild Leaf print electrifies the Avril range; a favourite due to its streamlined strappy details that highlight the cleavage, and the cheeky cut-outs that trim and titillate.

The matching cover-ups – billowing Holly or wispy Rosana – only serve to highlight what lies beneath. Miami glamour girls can’t resist a flash of molten metallic to set off their tans, and the Sevilla – Penelope’s favourite bikini in the collection – is the ultimate gold lamé triangle bikini.

Swimwear isn’t just for ocean dips – certainly not in Vegas, where hyper-glam poolside pieces are de rigeur for posers and party people.

Sin City is the appropriate setting for the third instalment in the l’Agent swim range, which glitters with lurex, lamé, and nocturnal possibilities. The Tayler swimsuit stands out as a Vegas showgirl’s dream, thanks to its ultra-deep V plunge and almost-naked back featuring a teeny ruched knicker to flatter the cheeks.

The Maybel is a crop top style made from silver foil-printed lace that works just as well after dark at the disco as it does in the heat of the day. The Alexie is universally coveted due to its perfect marriage of sensual ruching and bondage straps that flatters all figures – and brings to mind the saturated sex appeal of 1970’s rock album covers. Go from lilo to disco in the Carme cover-up, a Studio 54 confection of silver lurex jersey that’ll keep the party going long after the sun has set.
