Find out everything you wanna know about a model’s life trough our exclusive interview with Teresa Dilger.

Thanks to placemodel

Which was the first picture that someone took of you?

The first Polaroid someone ever took of me was my mother agent Yannis Nikolaou from Place Models in Hamburg. I had no clue how to pose or what to do. He just told me: relax and be cool…I still follow that advise haha.

What have you learned from working as a model?

I’ve become super self confident and very independent.

What is the thing you like the most and the least about modeling?

I love working and meeting interesting crazy artists from around the world. The part I like the least is shooting summer clothes in the winter time. Bikini and snowflakes – seen that and done that haha.

Where have you traveled with modeling? What has been your favorite city to visit?

I’ve travelled a lot in Europe and the states. My favorite City I’ve ever went to is definitely New York – I fell completely in love with its unique energy and live there now. Another amazing place was Barbados – crystal clear blue water.

The weirdest or funniest thing that happened on a set?

Too many to name.

Modeling is also about waiting – waiting for you make up, hair done…. how do you spend your “waiting time” ?

I listen to audiobooks – right now the autobiography of Barack Obama. And I read a lot on my iPad. I always have that one with me anyways because I keep my portfolio on it. I always preferred real hardcover books but iBooks is just so much more convenient and I’ve accomplished to read more books in a year than ever before.

What a good agency do for you to make a good job on a set?

I get a complete callsheet with all the information I need to be ready for the job. I also like it when my agent gives me a little insider information about the client so I know what to expect.

What is your relationship with fashion? Do you have your own style, do you like to play with clothes and colors?

I love vintage clothes. Especially old brands like Gucci, D&G, YSL, Thierry Mugler, Versus Versace and Halston. My favorite new designer is Anthony Vaccarello. He’s genius. He makes every woman look like a strong sexy super woman – which I guess is my favorite look of all times. For me it’s all about the cuts and fabrics of clothes. I don’t buy a lot of clothes but if I do I buy something amazing which I’ll wear for at least 10 years. Consuming less is better for the environment too.

Your relationship with social media, photos, “Instagram”..? You cannot live without it or sometimes you prefer to be “offline”?

I love Pinterest as an inspirational platform. Snapchat to send funny videos. And Twitter for news. Instagram is too fake for me – we all know that perfect bikini shot at the beach took you 30 minutes to arrange.

What are you excited about doing next? What is your next dream job?

I think I’ll work in technology – that’s the future. And I wanna help shape our future.

Ho viaggiato tantissimo in Europa e negli States.
