Louis Vuitton presenta un nuovo oggetto di design da viaggio in occasione del Salone del Mobile.

La Chaise Longue progettata da Marcel Wanders entra a far parte della collezione Objets Nomades

Louis Vuitton presenta la Chaise Longue progettata dal designer olandese Marcel Wanders, che arricchisce la collezione Objets Nomades, oggetti ispirati al viaggio che celebrano l’ incontro tra design e il savoir-faire Louis Vuitton.

La seduta, ideata da Marcel Wanders, è una vera e propria “oasi del relax” pieghevole e facilmente trasportabile.

I tre moduli indipendenti che la compongono, si incastrano come un puzzle dando vita a tre sedute diverse: una chaise longue, una poltrona o un pouf. Ciascun modulo è costruito in fibra di carbonio high-tech, al fine di essere estremamente resistente ma al contempo leggero, ed è ricoperto da morbida e lussuosa pelle Nomade all’esterno e rifinito in suede all’interno. Le cinghie che collegano i moduli l’uno con l’altro, sia quando la seduta è chiusa che aperta, sono un chiaro richiamo agli iconici oggetti da viaggio di Louis Vuitton e sono realizzate in cuoio naturale.

La Chaise Longue è ordinabile, tramite il servizio Made To Order, nel colore preferito, tra cui il classico color cuoio naturale e la versione in bianco realizzata in occasione del Salone del Mobile come omaggio alla città di Milano. La Chaise Longue Milano sarà esposta e venduta nello store Louis Vuitton di Via Montenapoleone.

On the occasion of Milan’s Salone del Mobile, Louis Vuitton presents the Chaise Longue designed by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders, the newest addition to the Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades Collection, items inspired by travel, celebrating the encounter between Louis Vuitton’s savoir-faire and design.

The Chaise Longue is a real “relaxation oasis”, foldable and easily transportable.

The three independent modules that compose it, interlock like a puzzle and give life to three different seats: a chaise longue, an armchair or a pouffe. Each module is manufactured in high-tech carbon fibre to be both exceptionally light and strong, and is then upholstered in rich, soft leather on the outside and suede on the inside. The version first shown in Milano will be upholstered in preciously knitted cotton-linen textile on the outside and natural soft leather on the inside. The leather straps that hold the modules together, both when packed and unpacked, are reminiscent of Louis Vuitton’s iconic travel pieces and are made in undyed leather that will patina beautifully with age.

The Lounge Chair is now available in five versions: one in a classic Louis Vuitton caramel tone; the others in exclusive turquoise, black or red leather. The newest edition is a special white edition created on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile as an homage to the city of Milan.
