Which was the first picture that someone took of you? Your impression about the first picture, first photo shoot.

I took my first picture when I was 14 years old for a magazine in Brazil. Iit was taken by Zee Nunes, a photographer whom I worked many times after that. I was really surprised to see the picture, once I had no idea what to expect. I remember what amazed me more was how all the styling looked so amazing in the image with all its components. From then on I fell in love with the fashion world.

What have you learned from working as a model?

I learned to be grateful for all the knowledge I gained in the past few years about all little and big things in life; like learning how to take good pictures (as a photographer , and also as model), discovering new cultures, different people with a different mind. I realized how relative everything is, even time can be quite relative in some moments. I learned the most important isn’t putting all my energy to became successful on my career but putting this energy on the present and enjoying every detail to be found in a simple day.

What was the model that inspired you the most and among the models of today who you like the most and why?

I admire Loulou de la Falaise a lot, specially because through her life she wasn’t just a model, in fact, did much more for fashion once she was passionate for it. She had a beautiful and inspiring relation with this world.

What is the thing you like the most and the least about modeling?

My favorite thing is for sure travelling, that’s actually my favorite thing in life. The hardest part for me is being away from my parents, they are my best friends and I miss them every second.

Where have you traveled with modeling? What has been your favorite city to visit?

I’ve already worked in London, Paris, Milan, Sao Paulo and now live In New York. I love NY but Paris is my favorite.

The weirdest or funniest thing that happened on a set?

Once I had a shooting and on the team everyone knew each other, so there was a part of the day when everyone started dancing like mad-it was friday anyway! haha

Modeling is also about waiting – waiting for you make up, hair done…. how do you spend your “waiting time” ?

Reading, a lot.

What is your relationship with fashion? 

I really like working with it, before becoming a model my plan was to study fashion. I like to invest on good pieces of clothing, specially bags, shoes and sunglasses. For sure after the modeling career I will still be involved with this market, I’m planning to start college program on FIT this year-that’s the first step.

Your relationship with social media, photos, “Instagram”..? You cannot live without it or sometimes you prefer to be “offline”?

I much rather live offline and be in contact with the real world, giving more attention to what is here now, the material, the people, the conversations. I believe that when everything is too easy accessed it looses its value and beauty, in these terms a lot of us lacks presence in society.

What are you excited about doing next? What is your next dream job?

I just did a dream job, that was walking for Gucci. What’s next, I can’t tell-future is always mysterious- I’d love to be on a big campaign, who knows…

Qual è stata la prima foto che ti hanno scattato e quali impressioni hai avuto dopo il primo photo-shooting?

La prima foto che mi hanno scattato era per un magazine brasiliano e avevo 14 anni. Il fotografo era Zee Nunes, con cui ho lavorato poi molte altre volte. Sono rimasta davvero colpita da queste prime foto anche perché non avevo idea di cosa aspettarmi. Il risultato finale era fantastico e sono rimasta colpita da come lo styling e dalla immagine in tutte i suoi componenti e da quella volta mi innamorai davvero della moda.

Cosa hai imparato lavorando come modella?

Sono davvero grata di tutta la conoscenza e le nozioni che ho imparato negli ultimi anni…riguardo sia piccole che grandi cose della vita…imparare a realizzare delle belle foto (sia dal punto di vista del fotografo che da quello della modella). Ho scoperto nuove culture diverse dalla mia, conosciuto tantissime persone così diverse le une dalle altre, e ho capito come tutto sia relativo…anche il tempo a volte può essere molto relativo. Ho capito che dovevo mettere tutte le energie nel presente, curare tutti i dettagli e godere di ogni momento di una giornata qualsiasi, vivere il presente soprattutto e non sforzarmi più di tanto nel mettere tutte le mie energie per avere successo nella mia carriera.

Qual è la modella che ti ha ispirato di più e perchè ti piace così tanto?

Ammiro molto Loulou de la Falaise, perchè semplicemente non era solo una modella e con il suo lavoro ha fatto davvero tanto per il mondo della moda, proprio perchè lavorava con enorme passione e il suo rapporto con questo mondo era bello e particolare proprio per questa sua attitudine.

Qual è la cosa che ti piace di più e quella che ti piace di meno del tuo lavoro?

Quello che amo di più è viaggiare…ed è anche la cosa che amo di più fare in generale non soltanto nel mio lavoro. La parte più difficile è l’essere spesso così lontana dai miei genitori, dai miei amici e mi mancano ogni giorno.

Dove sei stata grazie al tuo lavoro? E qual è la tua città preferita?

Sono stata a Londra, Parigi, Milano, San Paolo e ora vivo a New York che amo moltissimo ma la mia città preferita in assoluto resta Parigi.

La cosa più strana o divertente che ti è accaduta su un set?

Una volta durante uno shooting (ci conoscevamo un po’ tutti) e a un certo punto ci siamo messi a ballare come dei pazzi…era venerdì dopo tutto! ah ah.

Fare la modella ha anche molti tempi morti…un sacco di momenti in cui si aspetta…come trascorri questi momenti?

Qual è il tuo rapporto con la moda? 

Mi piace lavorare in questo campo, prima di diventare una modella volevo assolutamente studiare moda. Mi piace comprare dei bei pezzi e soprattutto accessori come scarpe, borse e occhiali. Di sicuro appena la mia carriera di modella sarà finita mi piacerebbe restare in questo campo così intanto ho intenzione di iscrivermi al college quest’anno.

Cosa ne pensi dei social? Non ne puoi fare a meno o a volte vorresti restare off-line?

Preferisco di sicuro stare offline e essere in contatto diretto con il mondo che mi circonda, dare più attenzione al momento…all’oggi, alle persone e al dialogo. Penso che quando qualcosa è troppo mediato perde di importanza e bellezza e molti di noi è come se perdessero presenza nella società reale e non digitale.

Cosa hai in serbo per il futuro? Qual è il tuo prossimo lavoro dei sogni?

Ho già fatto il mio lavoro dei sogni…ed è stato sfilare per Gucci. Il prossimo passo? Ancora non riesco a leggere il futuro…mi piacerebbe però partecipare ad un’importante campagna pubblicitaria…chi lo sa.
