Giorgio Armani at the Oscars 2016
Giorgio Armani dressed select winners, nominees, presenters and attendees at the 88th Annual Academy Awards. The show took place on Sunday evening, February 28th at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Winner Leonardo DiCaprio wore a Giorgio Armani Made to Measure black textured two- button peak lapel tuxedo trimmed in grosgrain with a classic white evening shirt and a bow tie. DiCaprio won Best Actor for his work in “The Revenant.”
Nominee and presenter Cate Blanchett, wore an Armani Privé seafoam green cap-sleeve mermaid gown that features hand sewn clusters of Swarovski crystals and white feathers. Ms. Blanchett’s look was completed with Giorgio Armani Beauty cosmetics. Blanchett was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her work in “Carol.”
Nominee Charlotte Rampling wore an Armani Privé blue and white long-sleeved gown with pocket details in silk jacquard with small geometric patterns embroidered with multi- colored Swarovski crystals. Rampling was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her work in “45 Years.”
Nominee Diane Warren wore a Giorgio Armani charcoal gray evening jacket encrusted in Swarovski crystals along with a pair of evening trousers and a black silk blouse. Warren was nominated for Best Music – Original Song for “Til It Happens To You” from “The Hunting Ground.”
Naomi Watts wore an Armani Privé sapphire blue and vibrant purple strapless gown fully embroidered in stripes of Swarovski crystals, sequins and lurex thread that create a modernistic chevron pattern.
President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Cheryl Boone Isaacs wore a custom Giorgio Armani coral fitted gown that features a portrait neckline, Swarovski crystal fringe sleeves and a modified train.
Presenter Russell Crowe wore a Giorgio Armani black two-button peak lapel tuxedo with a classic white evening shirt and a bow tie.
