“On completing this collection, I realized that the last ten years of my work have actually been one cumulative project towards one goal: the search for the essence of my brand, my art. Collection after collection, season after season, I have developed an ideology in the form of clothing, which pulls from my own cultural and personal history and advocates for every woman’s right to self expression and creative agency. As each of the last ten years has passed, it is not that I have gotten to know what it is I am trying to convey better, but rather, I feel that I am seeing the true nature of my stylistic language. This most recent collection is an embodiment of the fundamental aspects of my brand and style: a balance of chic with sexy, sophisticated with comfortable and, ultimately, timelessness.”
