Bouchra Jarrar for Mauboussin

The House of Mauboussin and Bouchra Jarrar are pleased to announce their upcoming collaboration for a high jewellery collection, to be unveiled in July 2016 during Paris Haute Couture week.

“ Since 1827, The House of Mauboussin has always been about daring and creating. Its history has been marked by several collaborations. In taking the path of fashion, Mauboussin marks a milestone in its ambition to open the House to women and to the world we live in. Bouchra Jarrar is an artist of our times: her independence, her talent as well as her sense of proportions and her quest for modernity are consistent with the very spirit of Mauboussin. I’m grateful she agreed to create the Couture line of our House” declares Alain Némarq, CEO of Mauboussin.

“It’s a thrilling experience, rich of values I’m attached to and relevant to my own path of creation. I take on this collaboration as a couture collection, working on volumes and materials: it’s a demanding yet rewarding challenge of creativity which combines the excellence of Mauboussin ateliers and the best of French craftsmanship. As such it echoes my own work. My wish is to dress women with jewels they will enjoy. Hence my ambition to create a collection full of sense and spirit.” says Bouchra Jarrar.

Made in Paris, the high jewellery collection “Bouchra Jarrar pour Mauboussin” will combine precious metals, fine stones and diamonds. It will unfold an array of rings, earings, necklaces, bracelets and cuffs. A jewellery line will also been released. Bouchra Jarrar will also oversee the global image of the collections. They will be available from July 2016 in Mauboussin stores in France and worldwide.
