Philipp Plein Pre-fall 2016

Taking the Spring Summer 2016 collection as his creative departure point, the designer centered on “dark romance” as his theme. Rose thorns and graffiti motifs from the Spring Summer collection provide Plein’s classic punk non-conformism to an otherwise feminine silhouette.

Pretty A-line skirts in the finest silk duchesse are paired with noble jacquard. Fine lace dresses are bias cut to elegantly trace the female form. Pearlescent lurex threads add movement to butterfly applique detailing. Heavy leathers add contrasting edge to the feminine shapes and details, and luxurious furs – mink, lynx and chinchilla – elevate the look, and demonstrate the designer commitment to dazzling his discerning clientele.

A colour scheme of black, white, indigo and ruby runs throughout the collection, pulling the various elements together.
