Altuzarra Pre-Fall 2016

This Pre-Fall collection was inspired by the playful femininity of the Thirties, the boldness and whimsy of the Sixties, and ease and eclecticism of the Nineties. The collection’s references span many decades, imagining a wardrobe assembled over time.

The collection was built as a truly transitional, seasonless and versatile wardrobe, playing with a wide range of textures and weights.

Common motifs are reinterpreted in different ways to create layers of textures, color and reference: classic Thirties polka dots are both reimagined as a flocked print in black, white and blush, as well as a Sixties-inspired bold sequined paillette embroidery; stripes are developed into knits, recalling the tweedy textures of the outerwear, as well as printed silks and tropical wools, evoking 1930’s college cricket stripes.

A celebration of eccentricity and flamboyance permeates the collection, even infiltrating the everyday wardrobe: geometric crochet knits give giant paillette embroidered shirts and tops a refreshingly day attitude.

The collection is rounded out by the Ghianda handbag collection: the Saddle, Hobo, Crossbody and Shoulder bag are updated in Elderflower Blue and Charcoal Grey spliced with tonal alligator, and suede.

A playful take on the loafer hybrid boot completes the look for the season.

The transitional and versatile nature of the collection inspired the new Shadow collection, a capsule of six signature pieces ( the Pencil Skirt, the Serge Pant, the Shadow Dress, the Acacia and Fenice Blazer and the Artie Top) fabricated in a luxurious wrinkle-proof technical jersey. Conceived as a timeless wardrobe staple, the Shadow collection is designed for the active, modern woman.
