Chanel “Once and Forever” The film

In occasione della presentazione della nuova collezione Métiers d’art di CHANEL a Cinecittà è stato presentato un nuovo film diretto da Karl Lagerfeld, girato a Parigi, “Once and forever* interpretato da Kristen Stewart e Géraldine Chaplin. Entrambe recitano il ruolo di attrici chiamate a impersonare Gabrielle Chanel in età diverse (eccovi il film).

È la prima volta che Kristen Stewart interpreta Gabrielle Chanel. “Assomiglia a Chanel e volevo che Chanel fosse rappresentata nelle differenti evoluzioni della sua vita ed il ritorno negli anni ’50” spiega Karl Lagerfeld. Géraldine Chaplin è invece alla sua quarta interpretazione di Gabrielle Chanel nei film dello stilista.

Il cortometraggio Once and forever* racconta la storia di una produzione tormentata e passa dal backstage del film, con prove costumi e riunioni operative, ai provini: “Se avessi solo ricostruito il passato di Chanel immagine per immagine, sarebbe stato noioso”.

Il cast di Once and forever* è composto anche da Jérémie Elkaïm, François Marthouret, Amanda Harlech, Jamie Bochert, Jake Davies, Baptiste Giabiconi e Laura Brown.

Chanel “Once and Forever” The film

This year Karl Lagerfeld has chosen Italy to present the CHANEL Métiers d’art collection, has been unveiled in Rome on December 1st 2015. The Paris-Rome 2015/16 collection has been shown at Cinecittà, the legendary film studio complex located in Rome. Cinecittà had its golden age in the 1960s thanks to the biggest names in Italian cinema and the Hollywood blockbusters made there, and today it’s still home to the sets of cinematic productions.

There, as the prelude to the show, Karl Lagerfeld has unveiled his latest short film, Once and forever (take a look at the film above), made in Paris and featuring Kristen Stewart and Geraldine Chaplin. The two women play the roles of actresses preparing to star in a film as Gabrielle Chanel at different ages.

This is the first time Kristen Stewart has slipped into the skin of Gabrielle Chanel. “She can look like Chanel, and I wanted to show Chanel through all the decades of her life and the comeback in the 1950’s,” declares Karl Lagerfeld. As for Geraldine Chaplin, this is the fourth time she’s embodied Gabrielle Chanel in the designer’s films.

The short film Once and forever tells the story of a lively film production and takes place behind the scenes, from the costume tests and script meetings to the screen tests. “If I had made image after image of Chanel’s past, it would be boring.”
The cast of Once and forever also includes Jérémie Elkaïm, François Marthouret, Amanda Harlech, Jamie Bochert, Jake Davies, Baptiste Giabiconi and Laura Brown.

As the face of the Paris-Dallas 2013/14 Métiers d’art collection, the 11.12 bag of the handbag campaign in March 2015 and then the Spring-Summer 2015 Eyewear collection, Kristen Stewart reaffirms her status as CHANEL muse and will now become the face of the advertising campaign for the Paris-Rome 2015/16 Métiers d’art collection to be photographed by Karl Lagerfeld and unveiled in the month of May 2016.
