A Shaded View On Fashion Film – the International Fashion Film Festival founded by journalist and icon Diane Pernet – had already left its mark in 2014 by inviting a prominent figure of Belgian Design, Dries Van Noten. For its 8th edition, from December 2nd to 6th 2015 at the Centre Pompidou, the event marks another important step in its evolution by inviting one of the most iconic French couturiers of Fashion History: Jean Paul Gaultier, who will preside the jury of the fashion film competition. A Carte Blanche session will be dedicated to him, hosted by journalist and critic Elisabeth Quin.
ASVOFF showcases 80 short films in competition, showcasing the best of the year’s production, and will also offer thematic sessions with prestigious guests such as Iris van Herpen, Nicolas Godin, Nicolas Saada or Mathias Kiss, as well as documentaries, including a special Arte cycle. A masterclass around the Woolmark saga with Colin McDowell, conferences and live performances from cult group Chicks on Speed are part of this weekend dedicated to fashion and film, and to what inspires them.
