When and how you decided that you wanted to be a designer?

At the age of 14 I started my fashion career as a model, at that time I was highlighted on the covers of many magazines, but I was always fascinated by fashion designers and what they do, so at the age of 16 I decided to changed my direction in fashion industry and showed my first collection at Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days.

It was your dream job?

Yes. of course. From my early childhood I was always dreaming of a career as a fashion designer. I had a lot of ideas which I wanted to bring into my own collections. So I made my big dream come true.

Which is the first thing you designed and for who (yourself,a friend…)?

I made my first collection for Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days in 2012.

Who’s the designer you admire the most and why?

Rei Kawakubo – I`m delighted with how stunningly she built her brand and what marvelous clothes she creates.

Who’s your muse, your icon, when you create a dress?

Kate Moss.

If you had to design an entire collection using just one color, which is the one you’d pick and why?

Pink. Because the motto of my last SS16 collection is “every girl is a princess” and pink is the true color of the princess.

Who’s the first person you show your sketches to?

It`s not a person – it`s my whole team.

The fabric you love the most…silk, lace, velvet and why?

Silk and chiffon – these fabrics are weightless and delicate, as if they are made for the genuine princesses.

If your clothes had a soundtrack, which songs you’d choose?

Antonio Vivaldi. “The Four Seasons”

Do you have any trick to avoid that “blank page” moment when you’re at the beginning of the designing of a new collection? Do you watch a movie, flip an old magazine…

I don`t know such a problem as “blank page” – inspiration is all around me. But mostly I`m getting inspired from the books and Art.

If you weren’t a designer which job in the fashion world you would like to do and why?

I would definitely continue my career as a model, because fashion is my home and I can`t see myself in any other industry.
