ELLIS ci risveglia la nostra memoria collettiva, ci porta indietro ai primissimi anni di Ellis Island attraverso gli occhi di un migrante.

La scena è in un ospedale abbandonato di Ellis Island che è pieno di istallazione di JR senza cornice, questo corto metraggio racconta la storia dimenticata dei migranti che costruirono l’America. È la storia dei fantasmi del passato delle nostre nazioni, degli individui che scapparono dalla povertà, discriminazione e dittature…il tutto per un’occasione di avere una nuova vita, tutto questo non può non ricollegarsi e raccontare le storie di coloro che cercano oggi pace e un’opportunità di una vita migliore in America e nel resto del mondo.

Protagonisti del corto due vincitori di Oscar come Robert De Niro e lo sceneggiatore Eric Roth, sotto la regia di JR.

ELLIS awakens our collective memory, taking you back to the early years of Ellis Island through the experience of one immigrant.

Set in the abandoned Ellis Island Hospital complex and using JR’s Unframed art installations, ELLIS tells the forgotten story of the immigrants who built America. It is the story of the ghosts of our countries past, the individuals who fled poverty, discrimination, and dictatorships, for a chance at a new life and eerily foreshadows the plight of those who currently seek the same opportunities and safety in this country and other parts of the world.

The short narrative film stars Academy Award® Winner Robert De Niro, was written by Academy Award® winner Eric Roth, and directed by the artist JR. Available soon.
