Who’s next on Dior?

Raf Simons ha appena lasciato Dior e già sono partiti i rumors su chi lo sostituirà nella guida artistica della maison parigina.

Siamo certi che la scelta sarà sicuramente inaspettata, forse per seguire la scia lanciata da Kering con Demna Gvasalia alla guida di Balenciaga dalla prossima fw16 e soprattutto per rientrare nel nuovo trend di ricerca che valorizza sulle passerelle la costruzione di nuove forme e non esclusivamente di suggestioni emozionali.

Guardando sullo scacchiere delle fashion house del momento Stefano Pilati l’erede naturale di Giorgio Armani, abilissimo nelle linee uomo ( come lo conferma la guida fruttuosa di Ermenegildo Zegna ed Agnona) potrebbe decidere di tornare a guidare una maison parigina dopo il brusco e repentino addio all Yves Saint Laurent prima dell’era Slimane.

Anche J W Anderson già in casa LVMH facilmente potrebbe essere spostato da Loewe a Dior, la sua collezione SS16 è stata la punta di diamante dell’ultima London Fashion Week in termini di creatività grazie allo studio architettonico di volumi nuovi.

Spostandosi poi verso la nuova area creativa dell’europa orientale ( la nuova Anversa del 22 secolo in termini di esportazione di nuovi designer) non abbiamo potuto fare a meno di puntare lo sguardo su Vika Gazinskaya. Se Monsieur Dior in persona l’avesse conosciuta siamo certi che sarebbe stata la sua musa. Lei che ha rivisitato in maniera nuova ed estremamente femminile i coat, studiando sugli archivi dell’800 delle case degli Zar e che ha riportato l’esotismo dei fenicotteri in illustrazioni dipinte su i suoi abiti come il Dior degli anni Japan. Chissà che il vento non soffi di nuovo da est…

Maybe JW Anderson (already in LVMH world) could easily be moved from Loewe to Dior, its SS16 collection was the highlight of the last London Fashion Week in terms of creativity thanks to his architectural study of new volumes.

If we take a look at the new creative area of ​​eastern europe and beyond (the new Antwerp of 22th century in terms of new designers bloom) we could not help but turn our gaze on Vika Gazinskaya. If Monsieur Dior himself had known her, we are certain that she would be his muse. She has revisited in a new and very feminine way the coat studying the archives of the houses of the Czars of 1800, she’s also brought back (making it extremely contemporary)  the exoticism of pink flamingos trough her illustrations painted on her clothes like Dior did during his Japan years. Why not then…the wind could blow again from the east…
