Interview with the designer of Rouba

Rouba is one of the the 6 brands participating in “J Autumn 2015” fashion show (organized by Jessica Minh Anh) which will take place on the 29th of October 2015 on the Seine river in Paris. This is our exclusive Q&A with Rouba.

When did you decide that you wanted to be a designer?

Since i was a little girl, i knew this is where i belong, i always loved to design garments, and drawing dresses became a habit i can’t live without.

What is the first thing you designed and for who (yourself,a friend…)?

Well it started with Barbie Dolls and then My sister was about to get married she asked me if i can design her wedding dress.

Who inspires you the most?

Well, when i design something i get inspired from things around me or from an article I’ve read or documentary I’ve watched, even the simple things can be inspiring.

 Who’s your muse, your icon, when you create a dress?

Well thats a difficult question, because there isn’t any specific person, it is always depending on the theme of my collection.

If you had to design an entire collection using just one color, which is the one you’d pick?

GREY…

Who’s the first person you show your sketches to?

My business manager.

The fabric you love the most…silk, lace, velvet?

Leather and Silk
