When did you decide that you wanted to be a designer?

I decide I wanted to be a designer when I was very young. I loved the effect the clothes could enhance myself and the persons wearing it. I notice that by mixing textures, proportions and colors you could create a wonderful piece that could capture a little bit of the essence of what I wanted to portray in my collections.

What is the first thing you designed and for who (yourself,a friend…)?

One of the first things I designed, while I was in a Boarding school in England, was a military green cargo pant in a shiny material. I design it for myself. The freedom of designing something that I imagine and could wear it, Made me just love the process of making something that I dreamed of.

Who inspires you the most?

The people that are confident with being themselves, who loves life and fashion. Those people inspire me the most because they project an inner beauty.

Who’s your muse, your icon, when you create a dress?

All my clients are my muses. For me to design them a dress is to get to know my clients I little bit more and in that process I have had the privileged of meeting wonderful, beautiful and strong women that inspire me to create glamorous, feminine, unique, sophisticated looks that really captures their personalities. Knowing that my pieces are going to project their inner beauty, making them look stunning and confident inspires me everyday.

If you had to design an entire collection using just one color, which is the one you’d pick?

Navy Blue.

Who’s the first person you show your sketches to?

When I sketch, I am my biggest critic so before showing it to anyone I make sure that I love it.
After that process It does not matter to whom I show it to.

The fabric you love the most…silk, lace, velvet?

I love all the fabrics, lace, leather, silk, new tech fabrics. I am constantly looking for new materials that can help innovate in my collections.

If you weren’t a designer which job in the fashion world you would like to do?

I would love to be a fashion editor at vogue.
