Atsuro Tayama SS 2016

Faithful to his favorite themes dominated by a feminine/masculine approach, this season Atsuro Tayama goes off on a folkloric, hippie-chic tangent.

The collection is inscribed in the heart of current trends with sleeveless jackets, the essential split skirt, embroidery, fringe and crocheted pieces that are minutely hand-made.

This season’s navy blue pinstriped suits are trimmed by black silk ruffles with a few transformable, oversized collars scattered here and there or embellished by a graphic reinterpretation of the white shirt.

The military theme, worked in laces and asymmetrical cuts, is developed in a white version as a “peace” interpretation of camouflage. Next, solid or striped, structured denim gets a twist with finely-layered or petal-like cotton voile ruffles. And for the finale: different techniques or dimensional fabrics are worked for textured, monochromatic silhouettes.

A mastery of impeccable cuts and different materials, all treated with an attention to detail so dear to the designer, make this collection an exercise in style reinforced by Atsuro Tayama’s irrefutable technique.
