Ksenia Schnaider studio is known for its special, equally experimental and wise approach to fashion. Behind Ksenia Schnaider designs there is always a certain smartly expressed idea. But when creating their S/S 2016, designers Ksenia and Anton Schnaider have decided to take a conceptual break. “We got tired of concepts. At the moment, we want to rest from content load exploited by contemporary fashion”, they say.

New Ksenia Schnaider S/S 2016 collection is for women who are bored of the fashion itself. It contains simplified, comfortable clothes that are nearly none as they have no content load, no complex cut, no colour diversity. Any message has been eliminated even from the decorative written words: on silk clothes, you find 100% silk line stitched, on cotton — 100% cotton. And it’s not an irony but a mere fact.

With its notional and stylistic simplicity, Ksenia Schnaider S/S 2016 collection is still not austere. For instance, Anton Schnaider’s famous glitched prints are present here, yet this time they are a bit simplified, and echo birch pattern. Along with basic shirts, shirt-inspired skirts and voluminous pants, there are also extraordinary designs like exquisite bomber jackets with feathers or silk taffeta sweatshirts stitched with swansdown. Also, some signature Ksenia Schnaider silhouettes and techniques can be found in the collection.
