Greetings from DROMe. Un flair di leggerezza solare ed estiva, colori decisi, accostati a cromie naturali e setose come sontuose e carnali corolle di fiori tropicali. La California del surf che si miscela con naturalezza a ricercate eleganze d’antan, a fragranze fitzgeraldiane sur la Côte. Istantanee scattate dal bordo piscina di un pool-party, a raccontare un’imperfezione perfetta, studiata nei minimi dettagli da cui traspare sempre il lusso del materiale lavorato, la naturalezza della pelle e il suo diventare quasi tessuto.
Marianna Rosati, designer della collezione, analizza meticolosamente tutto il dna del marchio, dai tagli vivi e imprecisi all’organicità dei materiali, dalle forme voluminose della silhouette alle diverse gradazioni dei colori non convenzionali. DROMe riscopre così la sua parte più calda e più “raw”, con materiali lavati e tinti per capi decostruiti che sembrano quasi non finiti, imperfetti, a ricordare anche solo nella tatticità delle pelli la sua estetica unica.
Tolto ogni orpello, ogni decoro, la silhouette ritorna essenziale, con vaghi accenti retrò dal sapore fifties e con parti fortemente scomposte a valorizzare la leggerezza e la trasparenza. Il quadrato diventa elemento decorativo: con una stampa multicolor alla Mondrian, con un micro-traforo per abiti e top a effetto rete, oppure con macro laserature per intrecci di pelle e nastri denim sfrangiato sempre in contrasto colore bianco-blu o cammello-indigo.
Le superfici rimangono materiche, quasi in rilievo, con incroci di maxi-righe che dettano le linee della collezione. Frange lunghe e lunghissime movimentano gonne, mini-dress e top, in un gioco di unioni e sovrapposizioni che dà il ritmo agli abbinamenti sintetici per un guardaroba in sola pelle easy to wear. Strutture destrutturate, spiccatamente fluide ed insieme costruite ed elaborate. L’arricchiscono drapées magistrali, tagli geometrici virtuosistici e dettagli couture estremamente ricercati, come nelle bluse di pelle lavorate a maglia.
Come nella cartolina realizzata dall’artista Ivo Bisignano per DROMe, un soffio di vento gonfia le maniche di giacchine e overcoat, modula le gonne a pieghe in plissè di pelle dorata, con righe a contrasto bluette e rosso o cammello e verde salvia. La pelle plissettata e schiacciata forma pieghe perfettamente imperfette, per dare quasi un senso di non stirato e non finito. Pelli leggerissime che diventano layers e si trasformano quasi in vestaglie-lingerie restituiscono calore alla collezione. Si bilancia e sovrappone il concetto di una levità basica ed essenziale, intersecata da inserti costruiti e sostenuti.
Greetings from DROMe! The flair of a summer and sunny lightness and of strong colors, matched withnatural and silky nuances as the gorgeous and fleshy corollas of tropical flowers. The surfing California naturally blended with the sophisticated elegance of yesteryear, with fitzgeraldian fragrances on the Côte d’Azur. Shots taken on the edge of a pool during a party, which are meant to tell of a perfect imperfection, studied in the lowest details, where the luxury of the processed materials, the naturalness of leather and its becoming almost as a fabric always emerge from.
Marianna Rosati, designer of DROMe collection, meticulously analyzes the whole DNA of the brand, from the sharp and imprecise cuts to the complete set of materials, from the voluminous shapes to the various unconventional shades. DROMe now discovers its warmest and rawest side, with washed and dyed materials for deconstructed pieces of clothing, which almost appear as not finished and imperfect, recalling its unique aesthetics even in the tacticity of leather only.
Ornaments and decorations are removed: the silhouette becomes essential, with vague retro hints recalling the Fifties and with strongly decomposed parts in favor of lightness and transparency. The square is now a decorative element: by means of a multicolor and Mondrian-like pattern, of micro perforations for net-like dresses or macro laser processing for matted leather and unravel denim ribbons, always in contrast colors, such as black and white or indigo and camel.
Surfaces are still material, almost in relief. Maxi stripes are crossed, theming the collection. Long and very long fringes give movement to skirts, mini dresses and tops, in a play of unions and overlaying, thus rhythming synthetic combinations: for an easy to wear wardrobe in leather only.
Deconstructed structures, distinctively fluid, but constructed and elaborated at the same time. Enriched with masterful drapes, virtuosic geometrical cuts and extremely refined couture details, as in the knitted leather blouses.
As in the picture by artist Ivo Bisignano for DROMe, where a blow in the wind swells the sleeves of jackets and overcoats and modulates the pleats in golden leather skirts with contrast stripes in red and bluette or in sage green and camel. Pleated and crushed leather creates perfectly imperfect pleats to give an idea of unironed clothes and of a not finished one. Extremely light layers of leather almost become dressing gowns and lingerie to warm up the collection. The concept of a basic and essential lightness is balanced and juxtaposed, intersected by constructed and relevant inserts.
