The aim of the initiators is to provide designers with a stage on which to promote the international perception of German fashion as well as win over leading buyers for Germany’s exciting designers and innovative collections.
“We look forward to presenting the talented minds of DER BERLINER MODE SALON in Paris at the invitation of the German Ambassador. It’s another testament to the fact that we have highly creative designers who have earned the opportunity to present their designs on an international stage. Key figures in the fashion industry, business and politics need to come together to ensure the international success of German fashion.”

“In my opinion, still, the economic relevance of German fashion design is underestimated – there is definitively a market and definitively a lot of talent. The link missing is the visibility of the single designer and to change that is exactly our goal. We want to give visibility to German designers and for them to gain access to the market. Paris is the next important step for Berliner Mode Salon to represent German fashion design internationally. To be invited by the German ambassador and his wife and that it is seen the same way by them is of course just brilliant.”

“Mercedes-Benz has established itself as a sponsor of selected fashion events worldwide over the past 20 years. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to continue supporting young talents all over the world. This season we’re the proud sponsor of DER BERLINER MODE SALON, which will be presenting 28 designers during Paris Fashion Week. The participants travelling to Paris include the three German finalists of this year’s 30th International Festival of Fashion and Photography in Hyères. ”
