When and how you decided that you wanted to be a designer? Quando e come hai deciso che avresti fatto la stilista?

Quando ero piccola volevo diventare una pittrice e quello era il mondo a cui volevo appartenere…poi tutto è cambiato quando sono andata a Parigi.

In my childhood I wanted to be a painter and my dream art sphere was Fine arts but everything changed when I arrived in Paris.

It was your dream job? Era il tuo lavoro dei sogni?

No, non era il mio sogno ma in modo molto spontaneo lo è diventato.

No, it was not my dream , but spontaneously it became .

Which is the first thing you designed and for who (yourself,a friend…)? Qual’è stata la prima cosa che hai realizzato e per chi?

Ho disegnato e realizzato un vestito per me stessa.

I created a long dress for myself .

Who’s the designer you admire the most and why? Chi è il designer che ammiri di più e perchè?

Non ho un’ammirazione in particolare per qualcuno, ma seguo diversi designer che ammiro e rispetto moltissimo: J.W. Anderson, Nicolas Ghesquière, Marc Jacobs, JACQUEMUS, Raf Simons , Simon Roche…

I do not admire particularly someone. Although, following designers are very talented and I highly respect them: J.W. Anderson, Nicolas Ghesquière, Marc Jacobs, JACQUEMUS, Raf Simons , Simon Roche …

Who’s your muse, your icon, when you create a dress? Chi è la tua musa, la tua icona quando crei un vestito?

Dipende dal mood e dagli anni a cui mi ispiro in quel momento…oggi ad esempio le mie muse sono la Cate Blanchette degli anni ’90, Ali Macgraw, Tilda Swinton, Jane birkin, Charlotte Gainsbourg , Lou doillon , Lauren Hutton etc.

It depends which years are actually trendy. Currently my muses are : 90’s Cate Blanchette style, Ali Macgraw, Tilda Swinton, Jane birkin, Charlotte Gainsbourg , Lou doillon , Lauren Hutton etc.

If you had to design an entire collection using just one color, which is the one you’d pick and why?

Se dovessi disegnare e pensare una collezione usando un unico colore quale sceglieresti?

Il bianco.

White.

Who’s the first person you show your sketches to? A chi mostri per primo i tuoi schizzi?

A mia sorella.

My sister.

The fabric you love the most…silk, lace, velvet and why? Qual’è il tessuto o il materiale che ami di più?

Amo dare spazio alla creatività senza pormi dei limiti e mi piace sempre mescolare i materiali…quindi devo rispondere che non ho un materiale che preferisco in assoluto.

I love being creative and I always try to mesh fabrics , so I can’t name one particular fabric.

If your clothes had a soundtrack, which songs you’d choose? Se i tuoi abiti avessero una colonna sonora, quale sarebbe?

Una delle principali fonti di ispirazioni per il mio lavoro è la musica. Direi che un brano elettronico con elementi sperimentali e classici sarebbe la colonna sonora perfetta.

One of the main role for my inspiration is music. Hence, an electronic music with experimental and classic elements would be the soundtrack for my collections.

Do you have any trick to avoid that “blank page” moment when you’re at the beginning of the designing of a new collection? Do you watch a movie, flip an old magazine…

Hai un trucco per superare il cosseted momento del “foglio bianco”?

Di sicuro guardo dei film…poi magari sembrerà strano ma spesso guardo documentari in tv su piante o animali…e li magari trovo l’ispirazione per cominciare a creare.

Yes, sure I watch movies, maybe it’s weird but sometimes I watch TV shows about animals, plants etc. and that’s inspires me.

If you weren’t a designer which job in the fashion world you would like to do and why?

Se non fossi una stilista quale altro lavoro nel mondo della moda ti piacerebbe fare?

Ad essere sincera non mi riesco a vedere in un ambiente diverso, non riesco a immaginare la mia vita senza creare abiti e disegnare, sono le due cose che amo di più al mondo.

I do not see myself in a different environment, I can not imagine my life without creating clothes that challenges me.
