Reebok Classic e Garbstore    

La collaborazione tra la boutique modern vintage londinese Garbstore e Reebok Classic continua con l’arrivo della quinta capsule collection, che include unaInstapump Fury Road, annunciata come il “Santo Graal” del mondo delle sneaker, e una versione retrò-futuristica della Ventilator II.

Special make-up marmorizzato per la InstaPump Fury Roadche si ispira alle strade più lussuose del mondo e gioca con la combinazione di materiali premium. Due le versioni proposte dell’icona anni ‘90: la prima sui toni neutri del grigio e beige, la seconda con sfumature blu, entrambe dotate di dettagli bianchi sui lati, suola speckled grigia ed elemento Pump nero.

Ian Paley, fondatore di Garbstore, ha commentato: “Sin dalla primissima collaborazione con Reebok, c’è sempre stata una scarpa che più di tutte desideravamo riproporre: Instapump Fury Road. È fantastico avere finalmente questa possibilità, e questa edizione riflette la sensazione di lusso ed esclusività che hanno sempre caratterizzato la mia personale ricerca del Graal.”

Continuano le celebrazioni del 25° anniversario di Ventilator con una limited edition della Ventilator II realizzata in premium suede e tessuti traforati. Il design rende omaggio alla tecnologia Hexalite con un dettaglio stampato e la caratteristica “apertura” Ventilator crea un look retrò-futuristico. Ian Paley ha spiegato: “Durante il design di questo modello, desideravamo che il design apparisse futuristico dal punto di vista degli anni ’90, ma allo stesso tempo retrò per un osservatore contemporaneo: una sorta di futurismo al contrario.”

La collezione sarà disponibile presso Garbstore London e Los Angeles a partire dal 13 Agosto e globalmente dal 15 Agosto 2015. Stay tuned per le prossime release!

Reebok Classic has collaborated with British menswear boutique and label Garbstore to create a brand new version of the iconic Instapump Fury Road and Ventilator II.

The Instapump Fury Road is a re-engineered Reebok Classic design described by Garbstore founder, Ian Paley, as the ‘holy grail of sneakers.’ This lust for a remake of the iconic 90’s Reebok Classic design was the main inspiration for Garbstore to produce a premium yet accessible one-of-a-kind sneaker. Featuring a marbled pattern inspired by some of the world’s most luxurious roads, the texturized effect creates an eye-catching aesthetic with a stand-out quality. Colorway options are tonal muted grey and beige or bolder blue oil effect uppers, with white side details and grey speckled soles and black Pump technology.

Ian Paley from Garbstore commented “Since our very first collaboration with Reebok there has been one shoe above all others that we really wanted to bring back – the Instapump Fury Road. It’s fantastic that this has finally been possible and this edition reflects the feelings of luxury and unattainability that I felt when searching for my grail.”

This is the fifth time that Reebok Classic has teamed up with Garbstore and the limited edition men’s range also includes a brand new take on the classic Ventilator II silhouette. The limited edition men’s range features an exclusive Ventilator to continue celebrations of the sneaker’s 25th anniversary this year.

The Reebok Classic X Garbstore Ventilator II uses luxury suede and fabric perforations to create a complex texture which accentuates the coloring details of the classic silhouette. The famed Hexalite technology is honored in the side panels with Hexalite boldly printed in block letters on the underlay. In stark contrast to the rest of the shoe is the lower side Ventilator window, which showcases the signature shapes used by Reebok on their running shoes in the 1990’s and gives the shoe its future backwards inspiration.

Ian Paley from Garbstore commented: ‘When designing the shoe, we really wanted the silhouette to appear futuristic to someone from the 1990’s but retro looking back at the 1990’s – a kind of future backwards inspiration.’

The collection is available locally at Garbstore London and Los Angeles on the 13th of August and launching globally 15th August 2015. The Reebok Classic x Garbstore Instapump Fury Road is priced at €195 and the Reebok Classic x Garbstore Ventilator II is priced at €145.
