Belstaff opening his 2nd store in London    

Belstaff è orgoglioso di presentare l’apertura del suo secondo store londinese e il primo nell’East End. Con uno spazio di circa 100 mq, il negozio di 16 Lamb Street store in Old Spitalfields Market segna un importante step nell’evoluzione del marchio: aprire le proprie porte anche un pubblico più giovane che ama i brand autentici come Belstaff.

Il concept per lo store è mantenere e esaltare il mood dell’area in cui si trova. I mattoni esposti e un pavimento in resina dipinta danno un tocco cool e allo stesso tempo intimo e personale. Gli arredi e i dettagli sono un mixi di acciaio e sughero, due materiale che sono caratteristici del primo store in New Bond Street disegnato dall’architetto e interior designer William Sofield.

All’interno si possono trovare tantissimi capi e accessori, un giusto mix di pezzi heritage, capi spalla in cotone waxed, in pelle, scarpe e accessori, per donna e uomo, insieme a una sezione di vintage e la più ampia selezione di capi e accessori per i motociclisti. Un tocco in più è dato da un tavolo da lavoro che sarà usato per la customizzazione delle giacche e la re-waxing station pronta a ridare smalto ai capi più vissuti.

Gavin Haig (Belstaff’s Chief Executive Officer) ha detto su questa nuova apertura: “Un anno dopo il ritorno del brand in UK, siamo felici che Belstaff ha trovato una seconda casa a Londra. Con una cura e un rispetto speciale per l’ambiente unico in cui si inserisce, siamo eccitati dal presentare uno store particolarmente curato e intimo che racconta perfettamente la nostra storia. Se il nostro store di New Bond Street esalta il lato glamour del brand, questo rappresenta al meglio la nostra storia”.

Sono esposte in negozio una giacca 958 custom Triumph Tiger 100 hardtail bobber e due altre specialissime giacche, una delle quali è una 1963 Trialmaster indossata da Steve McQueen nel film The Great Escape (la leggenda vuole che Steve anziché uscire con la sua fidanzata dell’epoca sia rimasto a casa per incerare la sua giacca). Tutti quelli che arriveranno in moto troveranno parcheggi direttamente fuori dallo store.

Belstaff is pleased to announce the opening of its second London store and its first in the East End. With just under 100 square metres of dedicated retail space, the 16 Lamb Street store in Old Spitalfields Market marks an important step in the evolution of Belstaff: opening its doors to a younger local audience that is passionate about authentic brands.

The concept for the store is in keeping with the mood of the local area and the requirements of the listed building. The exposed brickwork and a painted resin floor give it a gritty edge while at the same time feeling intimate and personal. Fixtures are a combination of raw steel and cork, two materials that reference elements of the Belstaff House flagship on London’s New Bond Street, designed by eminent interior designer and architect William Sofield.

The content is a mix of heritage pieces, wax cotton outerwear, leather, footwear and accessories, for men and women, together with a small curated vintage selection and the widest selection of Belstaff Pure Motorcycle products anywhere. Furthermore, what makes 16 Lamb Street a genuine destination for the stylish moto enthusiast is the purpose-built work table which will be used for jacket customisations, repairs and as a re-waxing station.

Belstaff’s Chief Executive Officer, Gavin Haig, said of the new opening: “One year after the return of the brand to the UK, we are delighted to announce that Belstaff has found a second London home in Spitalfields. With great respect to the unique environment, we are excited to present a specially curated, intimate store that truly embraces our history. If our New Bond Street flagship emphasises the glamour of Belstaff, this store is all about our British moto heritage.”

Indeed, a 1958 custom Triumph Tiger 100 hardtail bobber and two special archive jackets are proudly displayed – one of which is a 1963 Trialmaster worn by Steve McQueen in The Great Escape (legend has it that McQueen cancelled a date with his then girlfriend, actress Ali MacGraw, so he could stay home and wax it). Anyone arriving by bike need only ring ahead – parking spaces are available directly outside for their machines.
