Balenciaga e Alexander Wang annunciano la decisione comune di non rinnovare il loro contratto di collaborazione oltre il termine stabilito. Wang presenterà la sua ultima collezione Spring/Summer 2016 womenswear il prossimo 2 Ottobre 2015 a Parigi e verrà quindi annunciato un nuovo direttore creativo.

Dal 2012 Wang è stato il direttore creativo della maison e ha lavorato allo sviluppo e alla crescita del marchio, con il suo talento e la sua irriverente e moderna visione del design ha portato nuovo impeto al marchio.

Balenciaga e Kering vogliono ringraziare Alexander Wang per i traguardi raggiunti e gli augurano il meglio per il suo futuro e per la sua casa di moda e per tutti i progetti che intraprenderà.

A commento di questo annuncio Alexander Wang ha detto: “È stata un’esperienza incredibile lavorare per Balenciaga a Parigi. Sono onorato di aver avuto questa opportunità di vivere all’interno di una maison storia della moda. Voglio ringraziare il brillante team di Balenciaga per la collaborazione e per tutto quello che abbiamo raggiunto insieme, adesso non vedo l’ora di portare avanti i progetti con il mio marchio”

Alexander Wang présentera sa dernière collection pour Balenciaga lors du défilé de prêt-à-porter féminin Printemps/Eté 2016 le 2 octobre 2015 à Paris. Un nouveau Directeur de la création sera nommé ultérieurement.

Alexander Wang, à la direction créative de la maison depuis 2012, a joué un rôle essentiel dans la poursuite de son développement. Le talent reconnu d’Alexander Wang ainsi que sa vision créative moderne et irrévérencieuse lui ont permis de donner un nouvel élan à la marque.

Balenciaga et Kering remercient Alexander Wang pour le travail accompli au sein de la maison et lui souhaitent tout le succès qu’il mérite pour sa marque éponyme et ses projets futurs.

Balenciaga and Alexander Wang today announce their joint decision not to renew their contract beyond its initial term. Alexander Wang will show his final collection for Spring/Summer 2016 womenswear on 2 October 2015 in Paris and a new Creative Director for the brand will be announced in due course.

Since 2012, Alexander Wang has stood at the creative helm of the maison and has been instrumental in the pursuit of its development. With his proven talent and his irreverent, modern vision of design, Alexander Wang has brought a new impetus to the brand.

Balenciaga and Kering would like to thank Alexander Wang for his accomplishments and wish him the very best with his eponymous brand as well as all his future endeavors.

Commenting on the announcement, Alexander Wang said: ‘It’s been an incredible experience to work with a couture house in Paris. I am honored to have had the opportunity to work for this historical maison. I would like to thank the brilliant team at Balenciaga for their collaboration and for what we have accomplished together, and I am looking forward to taking my own brand to its next level of growth.’
