When and how you decided that you wanted to be a designer?

Quando e come hai deciso di diventare un designer?

Avevo 17 anni e lavoravo come commesso in un negozio di abbigliamento

When i was 17 years old and working as a sales consultant in the fashion shop.

It was your dream job? Era il tuo sogno?

Si, ho sempre sognato un giorno di diventare uno stilista.

Yes, I was dreaming to be a designer.

Which is the first thing you designed and for who (yourself, a friend…)? 

Qual’è stata la prima cosa che hai disegnato e per chi?

Un periodo della mia vita l’ho trascorso in ospedale, un mese intero, e mentre ero li non facevo altro che disegnare bozzetti. Quando mi sono ripreso sono andato dal sarto che ha realizzato gli abiti ma era una cosa solo per il mio personale piacere.

Once I was severely ill and spent a month at the hospital. I drew sketches there. When I got recovered i went to the tailor, who made some dresses just for my personal enjoyment.

Who’s the designer you admire the most and why? Qual’è il designer che ami e ammiri di più?

Di solito mi piacciono di più i giovani designer che non pensano subito al risvolto commerciale della moda.

I admire more often young designers who are not thinking about commercial side of the question.

Who’s your muse, your icon, when you create a dress? Chi è la tua musa, la tua icona quando progetti un abito?

È una giovane donna con molto sense of humour, audace e naturalmente sexy.

Young girl which have a sense of humor, somehow audacious and naturally sexy.

If you had to design an entire collection using just one color, which is the one you’d pick and why? 

Se dovessi disegnare un’intera collezione usando un solo colore, quale sarebbe e perchè?

Per l’inverno scegliere il nero e per l’estate il bianco, entrambi sono colori bellissimi secondo me :-).

In winter I will choose black color and in summer I will choose white one because these colors looks beautifull to me ☺.

Who’s the first person you show your sketches to? Chi sono le prime persone che vedono i tuoi bozzetti?

Le sarte, le stesse da cui sono andato dopo essere stato dimesso dall’ospedale.

The fabric you love the most…silk, lace, velvet and why? Qual’è il tessuto o il materiale che ami di più…e perchè?

Non riesco a sceglierne uno solo rispetto agli altri perchè amo mescolare più materiali e tessuti in unico capo.

I can’t choose one because I like to use different materials.

If your clothes had a soundtrack, which songs you’d choose? Se i tuoi vestiti avessero una colonna sonora, quali sono le canzoni che sceglieresti?

Amo molto lavorare in silenzio.

Do you have any trick to avoid that “blank page” moment when you’re at the beginning of the designing of a new collection? Do you watch a movie, flip an old magazine…

Hai un trucco per superare il momento della pagina bianca…magari guardare una vecchia rivista o vedere un film…

Per me la cosa più importante è essere da solo con solo una matita e un foglio.

It is important for me to be alone and just take a pencil to my hands.

If you weren’t a designer which job in the fashion world you would like to do and why? 

Se non fossi un designer…beh allora non sarei io ma sarei qualcun’altro ;-).

If I am not a designer…then it is not me.
