sacai FW 2015 Campaign    Italiano-Inglese-New11

sacai debuts its Autumn/ Winter 2015 advertising campaign, featuring Julia Nobis and Lexi Bolling, with creative direction and styling by Karl Templer, in a series of photographs by Craig McDean.

The campaign will first appear in the August issue of US Interview, as well as September issues including Love magazine,The Gentlewoman, Purple, Self Service, Interview and GINZA.

The diptych images feature mirror-like plays on iterations of key looks from the Autumn/ Winter collection, worn by Nobis and Bolling – seemingly similar, yet somehow different – continuing the theme of hybrids, unexpected distortions and “surprise in movement” that’s at the core of the sacai house.

The collection explores traditional, authentic masculine clothing archetypes, spliced with an exaggerated couture-like silhouette by sacai’s Chitose Abe. An unexpected distorted proportion, that challenges preconceptions with drop shoulders, drop waist details and elongated sleeves, with a new modern context for classical couture techniques such as Fortuny pleating. Something precious and rarefied, applied to the familiar and everyday.
