The Flow: Juergen Teller & Nicolas Ghesquière    

Questo libro nasce dopo il successo del precedente “I Just Arrived in Paris” (Steidl, 2014). The flow continua la collaborazione fra Juergen Teller e Nicolas Ghesquière (direttore artistico di Louis Vuitton). Nell’Ottobre 2014 Teller ha fotografato la collezione disegnata da Ghesquière per Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2015, il libro che ne è derivato è un mix molto bello di foto di moda nello stile unico di Teller e immagini di Parigi scattate durante una gita in barca sulla Senna.

La combinazione di ritratti, still-life e foto di paesaggio  rispecchia perfettamente le influenze e i materiali visivi che Ghesquiere ha sintetizzato nella sue collezioni, un flusso ininterrotto di innovazione all’interno della tradizione per un risultato mai scontato e non convenzionale.

Following the success of I Just Arrived in Paris (Steidl, 2014) The Flow is the second book in the continuing collaboration between Juergen Teller and Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director of Louis Vuitton. On October 1, 2014 Teller photographed Ghesquière’s Spring-Summer 2015 collection for the house, and the resulting book is a fluid mix of fashion photos in Teller’s inimitable guileless style and images of Paris shot while boating down the Seine.

This combination of portraiture, still-life and landscape photography mirrors the eclectic influences and materials which Ghesquière synthesizes in his collections — a bold, unconventional flow whereby innovation unceasingly rejuvenates tradition.
