Ogni volta la stessa fibrillante attesa…è  un attimo chiedersi “quando saliranno sul palco?”…e poi scuotere la testa perché non siamo ad un concerto ma ad una sfilata o meglio per rubare il termine inglese…fashion show…uno show dove la moda si mostra e dove il talento si esibisce. L’atmosfera è quella di un concerto rock, le luci che si alzano lentamente e la passerella sorge come un sole nero illuminata da una batteria di fari dalla luce calda.

La collezione si chiama “Pretty Boy” come la canzone dei The Felines che fa da colonna sonora allo show, il legame fra Saint Laurent e la musica è sempre fortissimo come fortissima è l’influenza che i due universi hanno l’uno sull’altro nell’immaginario di Hedi Slimane.

Le modelle vanno e vengono decise dal backstage come si esce e si rientra ad un party…che sia un cocktail party, una grand soiree o il prom di un liceo di provincia…Hedi ha pensato ad ognuna di loro, lo scintillio del glitter attraversa la strada/passerella coperto e scoperto dai capi spalla lucidi di pelle o dal vello animalier verde acido, le giacche dello smoking diventano un gioco ad incastro in cui si accorciano e si allungano…perdono i revere e si trasformano in paltò.

Le gambe svelte corrono sulla passerella in calze ripped o in leggins nero splendente di pelle, le zip argentee sfuggono dai giubbotti da motociclista e diventano dettaglio street su minidress da sera.

Le “Pretty Boy” non vanno alle feste, non aspettano gli inviti a casa davanti al telefono e si inventano una festa quando decidono loro, il look è boyish con pantaloni strettissimi e bretelle sottili.

Quando la “festa” è finita eccole che tornano sulla passerelle le modelle, in gruppo, disordinate e bellissime…

Each time it’s the same fibrillating waiting … everyone seem to be asking theirselves ”when they will take the stage?”… And then you shake your head because we are not at concert but at a fashion show … a show where fashion it’s shown and where the creative talent performs. The atmosphere is like the one at a rock concert, the lights rise slowly and the catwalk rise too like a black sun illuminated by a wall of orange spotlights.

The collection is called “Pretty Boy” as the song of The Felines that is the fashion show’s soundtrack, the bond between Saint Laurent and music is always strong, so strong as the influence that the two universes have on each other in Hedi Slimane’s creative mind.

The models come and go from the backstage as when you go back and forth from a party … wether it’s a cocktail party, a grand soiree or a high school prom … Hedi thought the perfect look for each of them, the sparkling of the glittery clothes crosses the road / catwalk, coats of shiny leather or with an acid green animalier print, the tuxedo jackets become a jigsaw puzzle in which they become shorter or longer…and sometimes they turn themselves into coats .

Fast legs run on the catwalk in ripped stockings or in black shiny leather leggings, silvery zippers escape from motorcycle jackets and become street-flavored details on evening minidress.

The “Pretty Boy” don’t go to parties, the don’t wait for invitations at home in front of the phone…they start a party when they want to, their look is boyish of course, with slim pants with narrow and thin suspenders.

When the “party” is over…here they’re coming back again on the catwalk…the models, as a group…as a band, messy and perfect, simply beautiful …
